The Logos of Feminem.com

It began with a passion. One man's dedication to provide a message through entertainment has been the backbone of this website since the beginning. Feminem.com was founded in August of 2001 by DJ Jake (now Essix). Since its creation, Feminem.com has been through several changes and revisions until it finally expanded into the website you currently see today. The history of Feminem.com has been recorded by various versions and layouts throughout this time, and these obsolete databases of old websites have been listed below for your entertainment.

In The Beginning:
The Feminem.com domain name was obtained by DJ Jake on June 20th, 2001. The prior registrant had let his 1-year registration expire not long before that time. After claiming rights to the domain name, DJ Jake decided to register a second domain name, SlimAnus.com, on July 23rd, 2001. Although both domains would always point to the exact same website, SlimAnus.com was originally the primary domain name. With a near-completion of the premiere version of the website, it officially went online August 28th, 2001, the same time DJ Jake completed the 2nd version of his Eminem-bashing song, "The Really Slim Penis."

Original Purpose and Content:
The premiere version's purpose was to essentially host or provide information about various Eminem disses, including anything from diss songs, pictures, animations, and interviews. The basics of what would become the core of the website for the next few years hadn't even been considered a major element (hate mail, shit list, comments, etc.). This version of the website primarily relied on the submissions of various fans, to ensure new disses and other content could eventually be added to the newly-conceptualized website. The website continued to grow in its infant stage under the watchful eyes of DJ Jake for the next 4 months, the shortest reign of any of the Feminem.com versions.

The Collapse of the Premiere Version:
At this point in time, SlimAnus.com was hosted on a free-for-all-members server through @Home, a company providing cable internet service to various customers including DJ Jake in the Phoenix, Arizona area. @Home suffered financially throughout 2001, officially went bankrupt and declared the free hosting service would no longer be accessible by 2002. This event, in combination with SlimAnus.com's html files being externally-scripted instead of internally-scripted (200+ files would have to be re-scripted to function properly on a different server), caused the end of the primary version of this website. In late December 2001, it was officially taken offline by DJ Jake.

The Return of SlimAnus.com:
Looking for free alternative hosting locations, DJ Jake began creating a new version of SlimAnus.com instead of rescripting the invalid links from the premiere version. This version, dubbed the "Slim Anus version," officially went online April 15th, 2002, using the free hosting service of Brinkster (for 8 days). The @Home service was eventually replaced by Cox Communications, who once again made the free-for-members hosting service available early in 2002. Due to Brinkster's bandwidth limitations, SlimAnus.com relocated to Cox Communication's server. The next server problem would occur in July of 2002, when Cox refused to host the website due to its content. Since that July, this website has always been hosted through various hosting companies, and paid for by DJ Jake.

Expanding the Realm of Defamation:
The Slim Anus version of Feminem.com expanded in several directions, primarily in relation to the actual visitors of the website. The highly popular sections of "Hate Mail," "Comments," and "Faggot of the Month" were created during the 6-month reign of the Slim Anus version. The defamation of Eminem continued as a major theme of the website, but now the fans of Eminem (dubbed Femi-Fans) were also legitimate targets. With DJ Jake's witty, sarcastic, and blatant sense of humor used when responding to Femi-Fan emails, "Hate Mail" quickly became a viewer favorite. To single out (and ultimately humiliate) the most pathetic Femi-Fan continually interested in sending hate mail to DJ Jake, the "Faggot of the Month" section was created. This defamatory section became a riot with both fans and haters alike, and the next 5 months would have viewers waiting in anticipation to see which Femi-Fan would earn the "honor." Overall, viewer interaction with Feminem.com continued to grow on a monthly basis, and each new month saw a larger and more crowded version of SlimAnus.com.

Impossible to Anticipate:
When Feminem.com was first created by DJ Jake, he knew not what to expect, and even less about which direction the website would take after being in operation for a year. While the premiere version was doomed to fall due to hosting problems, the Slim Anus version was approaching stagnation unless the website was revamped with the foresight to expand with new content in the years to come. Months prior to the end of the Slim Anus version, DJ Jake had already conceptualized the necessary revisions. Since it had been decided that "Slim Anus" was not the greatest of disses directed at Eminem (and "SlimAnus.com" sounded more like a website of pornography), the Feminem.com domain was destined to represent the website henceforth.

The Beginnings of Credibility:
The Feminem version of Feminem.com was released on September 30th, 2002. Along with expanding sections in anticipation of future content, the website also underwent a significant facelift, giving it the first hint of professionalism it had ever seen. To coincide with this change, Feminem.com began to wean away from the opinionated nature of the website, and start posting more factual information about Eminem. Although the opinions and subjective point of views were still commonly seen throughout the Feminem version, it gradually grew more objective, especially in 2003. The core of Feminem.com continued to revolve around the education or humiliation of Femi-Fans through "Hate Mail," "Faggot of the Month," "Shit List," and other various dissing sections. The Eminem/Femi-Fan bashing reached its height during the Feminem version thanks to the appropriate factual material supporting the opinions of the DJ Jake.

The Hierarchy of Command:
DJ Jake randomly created the AOD (Army of Death) in October 2002. This elite group of supporters, chosen by DJ Jake, would essentially represent a command structure of Feminem.com, although 99% of the work was still done by DJ Jake. The AOD was composed of various individuals that despised Eminem and his mainstream horde of followers and would work toward the goal of discrediting him and ending his reign. The AOD primarily functioned as an advisory board for DJ Jake where members could discuss ideas for Feminem.com. Members would also submit disses and information concerning Eminem that might be useful on the website. However, despite this group of supporters, Feminem.com continued to rely exclusively on the motivations and intentions of DJ Jake.

Questioning the Foundation:
Since its beginning and until the end of the Feminem version, Feminem.com had been considered a "hate" website. The motivations of DJ Jake relied upon that emotion in order for the website to expand and undergo continual updates. One very important event occurred on November 5th, 2002, that would forever change DJ Jake and Feminem.com. The underground music group Insane Clown Posse released their 6th and final Joker's Card, "The Wraith: Shangri-La." Upon listening to the messages of faith, righteousness, and eternal happiness found throughout the album, DJ Jake's foundation of beliefs was forever altered. With the "hatred" stance of Feminem.com now being questioned, the updates seemingly came to a screeching halt by December 2002. While DJ Jake decided what to do about this revelation, Feminem.com fell into a void of stagnant content. This null in activity would come to an end in March of 2003, with the Iraqi war sparking DJ Jake to emerge from the shadows of silence.

The Gradual Decline of Hatred:
With the return of its webmaster, Feminem.com continued along exactly as it had left off, but with an entirely different motivation. Instead of hating Eminem, it was decided that it would be better to discredit him and point out his wrongdoings in the hopes of educating the various Femi-Fans still blindly following their popular idol. Passion was once again evoked in updating the website thanks to the newfound hopes that Feminem.com would have a positive influence on the world, instead of just an entertaining message of hate. All sections of the website continued to receive updates, and DJ Jake continued to obliterate Femi-Fans in the "Hate Mail" section, typically responding in a way more concurrent with the stance of the website. Eminem was still commonly despised, but Feminem.com now used the truth and an objective point of view to get its message across to various viewers, particularlly the Femi-Fans.

The Demands of Higher Powers:
By June 2003, and due to the popularity of the website, DJ Jake only accepted correspondence a few days per month. In addition, DJ Jake had recently graduated from college, and was out to begin his career with a "real" job. Motivation to update Feminem.com began to wane once again, but this time it was due to DJ Jake's maturity and his now post-graduate "grown up" status. The supporters of Feminem.com continued to visit, and began to push the idea for a forum community. Thinking this would help alleviate some of the responsibilities of the website, The Feminem.com forum community was opened to the public in October 2003. Feminem.com updates primarily halted with the release of the forum, now that viewers could take matters into their own hands, interactivelly. Now working full-time in his field, DJ Jake began to view the website as an embarassment due to the immature content commonly displayed throughout most sections. This dissatisfaction had existed since the month of his graduation, but time never permitted him to revise the website in an apporpriate manner. At the end of 2003, DJ Jake pulled the plug on the main website viewed to be obsolete, leaving the forum the last standing section of Feminem.com.

Maturity, Credibility, Truth:
The collapse of the Feminem version of the website had been foreseen since the end of 2002, when the foundation of Feminem.com had already been shaken one month into its release. The inevitable growth and maturity of DJ Jake overrode the obsolete opinions and hatred the old versions of the website commonly displayed. Unsure at first if the website would be recreated, DJ Jake finally decided to bring back Feminem.com, but with an entirely different foundation and purpose. The website would now be exclusively structured upon factual material, objective points of view, open-mindedness and clear reasoning. This stance created an ultimate air of credibility that any "hater" of the website has been unable to overturn, typically because of the "hater's" ignorance and misconceptions. The purpose of the website evolved to promote the aspects of individuality and originality. Eminem was now dubbed The Queen of the Mainstream, and was The Prime Example for Feminem.com to use in order to show the superficial/unethical/ignorant/unoriginal/conforming ways of the world in general. Essentially, Feminem.com became a force of enlightenment, and a beacon to those who relate to the values and beliefs of the website.

Feminem.com's Forum Community:
With the core website of Feminem.com taken offline, the forum remained the only workable aspect of the website. This also began a new chapter for Feminem.com, as users could gather together and form an online community and post information of their own instead of waiting for the webmaster to post submitted content. The forum started as naive as the premiere version of Feminem.com as it was unable to anticipate which sections would be heavily trafficked, and which direction it would eventually take to expand. Regardless, the forum was a success and less than a year into its operation, the forum already reached 100,000 messages posted. The evolution of the forum has already spanned through three versions, the most current coinciding with The Prime Example version of the website. Today, the forum continues to expand and grow without an end in sight.

The Rebuilding of Feminem.com:
Work resumed on the core website of Feminem.com in the early half of 2004. Originally started as The Queen of the Mainstream version, the Prime Example concept quickly took over and integrated itself into every aspect of the website. Various sections were brought back from the Feminem version of the website either as continuing sections, or obsolete archives. Brand new sections, definitions, and ideas were conceptualized, including detailed information analyzing Eminem and the term of "Bread Crust" addressing the once-known-as Femi-Fans. To coincide with his eternally changed attitude and belief structure, DJ Jake adopted the new alias of "Essix" to separate himself from the obsolete and hateful actions in the past. The switch was made official with the end-all release of DJ Jake's LP "Reactions" album on December 14th, 2004. Clearly, where many people would rather shun and forget their past, Essix openly proclaims it, learns from it, moves on, and hopes that others can learn from the past events as well.

The Promised Days of Glory:
To this day, Feminem.com remains incomplete, but is larger than it has ever been thanks to the advent of the forum and the archived website versions. Essix has high ambitions to complete Feminem.com before the year is out. The revision of Feminem.com's forum in April 2005 to coincide with The Prime Example version is proof of the motivations of Feminem.com's webmaster. Every section and currently greyed-out link in the menus are expected to be fully functional by the end of 2005. Even after the incredibly active history of Feminem.com, it continues to mature and evolve into something greater, much like the webmaster himself. The promised days of glory for Feminem.com are at hand.
